Here's a quick conceptual scribble of "the kid" from Seung Kim's and Brad Rozman's "Battle Earth: Return of the Monkey King animated project. i love this project. If you dont know what i'm talking about go here: [link]

The monster he's about to take out is some weird contraption of a creature. something with teeth a helmet and tusks and octopus tentacles. Seung felt it was a menacing/playful creature. i agree. its a bit messy, but its conceptual. more comin'!

journey to the west was adapted from a true story...well without the monkey king and demons n shiet...but there was a real monk that had traveled west to india to get scripture to translate.i belive the original author from centuries ago used the monks story to adapt to journey to the west.
