shit man these are always tough, nice job. I finally got to watch Legend of Korra (free itunes download) and now i got it on repeat because that animation is so fluid! You guys killed it up there. Let me ask you this, I find that drawing bodies without clothes has become much easier for me now but clothing them isnt so easy...(hard to imagine right? hahahaha) when you sketch do you just start out with clothing from the jump or do you layer the lines as you go? I hope my question wasn't too confusing.
Lesean, I think you missed my question in some of your posts. But how do you achieve so much movement in your sketches? And the insane POV shots you have... how do you model the sketch before penciling that in???
I cannot wait for your next book to be released! Already own your other two books. Your work is a gestural smorgasbord for the eyes that I learn heaps from! Anyway, love the sketches as usual. I'm especially digging the set on the left.
I"ve never quite learned anatomy properly down to the skeletal level, which is what's usually recommended. but i learned enough to start straying. What i did put a lot of effort into learning and am still learning, is natural gesture. Apply natural gesture to any shape and you have magic.
Lookin forward to the book LeSean! To keep your clean lines, do you just retrace what you previous sketched? Or do you really take your time placin' the lines down? Thanks in advance for lookin' at my question, have a great day!
